The Old Court House in Wincheseter, VA
was built in 1840 and replaced the original courthouse built
in 1741. During the Civil War it served as both a hospital
for sick and wounded soldiers and a prison. The courthouse
was built to serve the citizens of Winchester and Frederick
County, and did so until 1984 when the Frederick-Winchester
Judicial Center opened. For
