Mount Hebron Cemetery Gatehouse :: Winchester VA

Mount Hebron Cemetery adjoins four burying grounds within a common enclosure. In 1844, a charter was granted “to establish a public cemetery” on the grounds of the Reformed and Lutheran Churches. Named after Hebron, a city of refuge and burial for the Biblical Abraham, Mount Hebron Cemetery has been expanded to enclose fifty-six acres.
